Initially launched in 2014, the Titan Basketball Academy officially relaunches its grassroots development basketball camp open to boys and girls ages 10-14 years old this February, 2017. Since the first store opened in 2010, Titan has always been driven by the passion Filipinos have for basketball. As the years have gone by, it has become more than just being able to provide the best and latest basketball products and tell unique stories. This time, we want you to be the ones to be part of the stories we will tell in the future. All for the love of the game.

This year’s Titan Basketball Academy will feature various coaches with years of experience teaching not only in the grassroots level but also in the professional level locally and internationally. Get to know the coaches:

Jeff “The Jet” Cariaso is a former professional basketball player who played in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) for 15 years where he won Rookie of the Year after being selected as the 6th overall pick in the 1995 PBA Draft, part of the All-Defense PBA Mythical First Team four times throughout his career, ten-time All-Star, 2002 Best Player of the Conference and multiple championships with a Finals MVP trophy.

Most people give in to the pressure but The Jet never did. He only knows how to play the game one way and it’s exactly the same way he teaches you how to play it. No quit. No compromise. No fear. Leave everything out on the floor, on both ends of the court. The way of the few.

“I’m looking forward to working with some up and coming players and introducing them to the same training and methods I use with my pro guys. It’s always a humbling experience to work at the grassroots level and have the opportunity to impact and help shape the next generation. All about inspiring them to chair their dreams and give their best effort, day in and day out.”

Drew Dunlop is the Founder of ADVANC3 Training LLC and a Professional Basketball Coach and Consultant. He currently serves as a director for Nike Rise Academy for greater China. His clients include NBA players, overseas professional players, international professional clubs, college players, high school players and AAU teams.

Drew got his start working at ATTACK Athletics in Chicago, IL, lead by Tim Grover who has worked with Michael Jordan, Dwyane Wade and Kobe Bryant amongst other NBA All-Stars. He has coached in China’s top men’s professional league, the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA), for 3 years and won a championship in the 2012-13 season. During the off-seasons he travels all over the United States and internationally, working with players, directing camps and clinics, as well as coaching professional men’s teams. Most recently, Drew spent 2 months in Manila as a player development consultant for teams from the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). International projects have taken him to places like China, Guadeloupe, Taiwan, Jordan, Turkey, Canada and South Korea.

“I’m looking forward to working with the kids, and helping them improve their skills, while building their confidence.”

Erick Butler is the founder of the Erick Butler Basketball Program, formerly known as TrikyRicke’s Hard2Guard, which is a training program designed to develop basketball players to improve their basketball skills through one on one skills training. Since 2001, Coach Erick has trained basketball players from the elementary school level up until the professional level by working with the Idaho Stampede in the NBA D-League from 2007 up until 2015, just before he explored opportunities in pursuing his dreams in developing the grassroots level of basketball but this time outside his home country, which is the Philippines.

Aside from actully being on court as a coach, he has also written a book focusing on the several key aspects in perfecting the basics of shooting, “Erick Butler Basketball: Shooting 101.” The book introduces the fundamentals, as well as the more advanced aspects of the game as he strives to bring a stronger culture of basketball knowledge for the beginners, average fans, and those looking to learn more about the game itself.
