In the latest edition of ShopTalk, SLAM Fam Nikko Ramos and Migs Rocha dropped by Titan Fort for the first episode of their SLAM Store Visit series. They discussed the newest signature shoe of Kevin Durant: the Nike Zoom KD 10.

The KD 10 is Kevin Durant’s tenth signature sneaker with Nike and the major story behind the shoe is that its Durant’s first championship shoe. It is now part of Nike’s long history of first-championship signature shoes such as the Air Jordan VI (Jordan, 1991), LeBron 12(LeBron, 2012), and the Kyrie 2(Kyrie, 2016).

“Sorry if you’re a Cavs fan but the KD 10 will always remind you of that big 3 that KD hit in Game 3 of the [2017] NBA Finals”, Nikko shared. “The tenth shoe is always a benchmark moment for any signature athlete.”

The KD line has always produced one of the best colorways and each colorway tells a different story. The latest drop of the KD 10 is the ‘Finger Print’ colorway, which pays homage to KD’s unwavering desire to leave his mark on the game. The shoe’s knitted upper features black and white hues for a clean look finished by a white midsole with visible Nike Zoom Air.

“The KD series in general has always been a good storyteller with the 4’s, the 6’s, the Weatherman’s, Nerf’s, the usual Aunt Pearl’s”, Migs shared. “It’s really been a good line for storytelling.”
