Like those that came before it, the AJ35 continues to push the limits of innovation and imagination for what’s possible in a basketball sneaker. The design vision saw the style stripped down to its essential technologies in order to minimize weight and maximize performance. Visible in the forefoot and heel are large Zoom Air bags for a responsive midsole, while the upper bears the first ever Flightwire system with a Kurim cage underneath for a locked-in feel. Running the length of the midsole is an enlarged Eclipse Plate 2.0, an updated version of the technology in the AJ34 designed for maximum lateral stability and late-game endurance.

Subtle nods to Jordan heritage include a familiar tongue top, molded achilles foam, and heritage materials like suede for a splash of old school. Even the classic herringbone traction on the outsole harkens to sneakers past, while still providing hard-cutting grip and traction.

Building upon the design of the AJ34, this debut AJ35 colorway pays homage to the original Jordan 5 on its 30 year anniversary of defying the game. For someone who consistently defied gravity, the gravitational pull of His Airness’ effect on the game has always been felt. Helping to center your gravity when you’re on the court and defy it when you take flight, the AJ35 'Center of Gravity' represents what it takes to control the game.

    Sculpted Support

The smoothly sculpted Eclipse plate 2.0 is raised to enhance side-to-side stability and support. It's hollowed out to help reduce the shoe's overall weight.

    Visible Zoom

Zoom Air cushioning under the heel and forefoot has a springy, responsive feel. The thick, large-volume heel unit provides impact cushioning, while the large forefoot unit helps provide support. The edges of both units are visible through the hollow midsole plate.

    Lock In With FlightWire

Flightwire cables stitched into the side radiate up from the curved plate, helping to lock you down over the footbed when you lace up.

    Traction and Control

The rubber outsole uses a modified herringbone tread pattern that grips the court. It's designed to help you stop, start and change directions on the fly.

Subtle design details nod to the Air Jordan 5, including the bump-out collar, shape of the tongue, and the rubberized print inspired by the 5's grid mesh.
